An intellectual competition on road safety was held among IDP communities

As part of its Road Safety activities, National Automobile Club of Azerbaijan (AMAK) continues the implementation of project on “Road Safety at Schools of Internally Displaced People (IDPs) via its “Intellectual Game - Competition” with the support of the Council on State Support to NGOs under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

AMAK launched the competition on July 24, 2018 at Youth House of Binagadi region. 10 schools that represented Aghdam, Jabrayil, Fuzuli, Khojavend, Khojali, Kelbejer, Qubadli, Lachin, Shusha and Zangilan regions took part in the competition and 10 teams (5 students in each team) were selected.

Each team was distributed with quizzes comprising of 50 questions with images of road signs. Teams had to answer these question in the certain period of time. It was clear that all the participating teams has been preparing for these competitions with great enthusiasm. Teams gave their answers to the assigned questions and presented them to the jury. The results of the answers will be determined after the general review of the jury. Once the results are ready, a final meeting with participation of all teams will be held on August 7, where the I, II, and III places will be announced. Winners will be awarded with gifts and diplomas.

Some representatives of government agencies, such as Chief of the Department of Preventive Work in Juvenile Delinquency of Public Security Department of Baku City Police Department, colonel-lieutenant Omarova Maryam will participate in the final event of the project. Chief Inspector major Alakbarova Kamala, Ulviyya Usubova from Youth Sport organization of Binagadi region, the chairman of Hayat Humanitarian Organization Allahveranov Azar, Road Safety Projects and Training Manager of AMAK Panahova Gulnara and school directors, parents, related people and students took part on the event.
