
As of September 2018, AMAK has launched its awareness campaigns on road safety in the capital city Baku . The campaigns are implemented in the framework of the International Automobile Federation’s (FIA) annual global campaigns that are launched in September. As part of the campaign activities, on September 20-21, 2018 AMAK organized awareness raising campaign events among teachers and schoolchildren of IDP schools #22 of Jabrayil region and #5 of Fuzuli region together with State Road Police and Hayat Humanitarian Organization under the slogan of “Slowing Down Saves Lives” of FIA and “Project EDWARD” of European Commission. The aim of these events were conducting educational work on road safety among schoolchildren at the age of 7-12 and support the abovementioned global campaigns.
During the events, information about AMAK, its vision and mission was shared, videos related to FIA “Slow Down” campaign were demonstrated and discussions on speed and the importance of obeying the speed limit were held with schoolchildren with the leadership of representatives of State Road Police. Schoolchildren also played educational video game in Azerbaijan language that FIA prepare for “Slow Down” campaign. Afterwards, the schoolchildren shared their opinions about dangers of speed, consequences of violating the speed limit and the importance of following the rules on the roads.
